After a little over a month, my trip to Korea finally ended. Here is one last update. Below are some photos of a pretty chill day in Seoul.
When one is as old as I am, one often finds that memories begin to fade oh so fast. The story of this day goes something like this:
It is early in the morning. Two figures are in the room. One is awake and alert. The other, significantly better looking one is still fast asleep.
SAM
"Hey MAOS, I'm going to the clinic. Just sleep as much as you want. I'll call you when I'm done."
Exit SAM.
MAOS
"Oh boy! What a beautiful thursday morning! It's only about 1PM. I think I'll go buy some football tickets."
Cellular phone rings
SAM
"Yo MAOS! I'm done let's go eat lunch. Come to Sinchon."
MAOS
"Okay! I'll get going right now because I'm a very responsible individual."
Shit happens and MAOS takes the subway in the wrong direction twice. Arrives in Sinchon an hour and thirty minutes later.
So basically at this point in time Sam's pissed off and I'm hungry so we go eat. Actually Sam didn't wait for me and grabbed lunch already.
Spicy food makes your mouth burn and you lips hurt. The only way to fix this is to get some donuts and coffee.
The donut was down before it knew it. It never stood a chance.
Coffee didn't fare much better.
Sam decided then and there that it was a good time to go on a cable car ride. This was a two step process. Sam had to pose for the camera.
And I wanted to sleep.
Eventually we made it though. Apparently Seoul Tower is a place where couples like to hang out.
And that was a pretty chill day.
Korea's been a pretty good place to be this summer. POSTECH, DICE, and the Campus English Program were all very entertaining. Too bad it all seemed to have passed by in the blink of an eye.
They say time flies when you're having fun. Time also flies when you spend half of every day taking the Seoul Metro.
